Our Favorite Jeweled Trinket Boxes
by Anaïs
As I mentioned we’re now dabbling in these cute trinket boxes. They add a subtle quirky charm to any room, and plus they’re adorable. They’re easy to open thanks to a magnetic clasp, and they close firmly. I had one of these when I was a kid, but it had a more traditional clasp on it – so of course it wound up breaking. These magnetic clasps are great to keep these boxes in one piece, especially if you’re a clutz like me. They’re great for decoration, and I mean c’mon, who here hasn’t dreamed of storing their paper clips inside of a turtle … hello … anyone?
Anyhow, Here are some of my favorites:
I love this phone keepsake box. I have one on my desk which I’m using to store pieces of gum. It adds a bit of class to the office. Plus it occupies that area where my non-cell-phone used to sit. Remember a time before cell phones? Yeah, me neither, but still it’s super cute.
This giraffe trinket box is another favorite of mine. Giraffes are definitely my 2nd favorite animal, and will remain that way until someone can prove to me, beyond a reasonable doubt, that unicorns don’t exist. I always figured if an animal as weird as a giraffe can exist, there’s gotta be a pony with a horn roaming around somewhere! But that’s beside the point, this 24 carat gold plated trinket box is a great accent piece for a bookshelf. It’s got these Swarovski crystals which combine with the gold plating to really make it pop. Someone keep stealing your earrings? Stick them in here, it will make you feel like your a spy hiding top secret documents.
Penguins are great. They’ve got an excellent fashion sense. This penguin is a bit on the chubby side, but she’s still got it going on. Check out the Austrian crystals on those wings! Penguins mate for life, but it looks like this one got married about 30 times, and kept all the engagement rings.
If you’re like me you love opening fortune cookies, but can’t stand the taste of those things. They taste like cardboard, and a low grade cardboard at that! Now you can re-open the same cookie over and over again with this fortune cookie trinket box! Give it to a friend as a gift, and put your own message inside. It’s not edible … but I’m guessing it probably would taste better than the real thing.
